Here Are The General Steps For Applying For A Chinese Tourist Visa:

1. Prepare Visa Application Materials

  • Fill In The Complete Application Form For Foreigner Visa And Residence Permit.
  • Submit Two 2-Inch Front 免冠 (Bare-Headed) Half-Length Color Photos.
  • Provide A Copy Of The Valid International Travel Document (E.G., Passport) And Present The Original For Verification.
  • Submit The Temporary Accommodation Registration Form For Overseas Personnel.
  • For Individual Tourist Visas:
    • If There Is A Receiving Unit, Provide An Official Letter From The Unit.
    • If There Is No Receiving Unit, Provide Economic Proof (E.G., Cash, Traveler's Checks, Money Order Documents, Cash Cards, Etc.) To Ensure Living Expenses In China, Calculated At $100 Per Day.

2. Fill Out The Visa Application Form Online And Upload Materials

  • Visit The "China Visa Online Application" Website: https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/
  • Register An Account, Log In, And Fill Out The Visa Application Form Online As Prompted.
  • Upload Application Materials And Submit Them, Then Wait For Preliminary Review.
  • After Submission, The Embassy, Consulate, Or Visa Application Center May Request Further Materials At Any Time. Check The Application Progress Regularly Via "Application Status Inquiry".
  • When The Status Shows "Passport Submission Pending", Print The First And Last Pages Of The Visa Application Form And Sign Them.

3. Submit Application Materials And Pay Fees At The Visa Application Center

  • If The Status Is "Passport Submission Pending" And You Have Received A Confirmation Email, Bring The Printed Visa Application Voucher To The Visa Application Center During Working Hours To Submit Materials, Including:
    • Original Passport.
    • Signed First And Last Pages Of The Visa Application Form.
    • 1 Recent (Within 6 Months) , Color, Small 2-Inch Bare-Headed Photo (48mm×33mm).
    • Other Supporting Materials As Required.
  • Applicants Need To Collect 10 Fingerprints At The Visa Application Center, Except For:

  • Pay All Fees (Including Visa Fee And Service Fee) When Submitting Materials.

4. Collect The Visa

  • Present The Collection Slip Issued At The Time Of Application And Collect The Visa At The Visa Application Center During The Specified Period.
